Dog Leads

The Long Line / Training Line

My most used training item by far. You should never fight a battle you cant win! With this training line you can start off initialy by allowing the dog to be free to roam sniff and smell in safety whilst you use treats or toys to entice him/her back to you before releasing again! This way the dog will not associate coming back to you with a bad event! This line is a puppy line and will be light on the clip so not suitable for larger dogs. The lead

The standard set up of lead and collar allows the dog to use its neck muscles to pull against the collar as they were bred to do and so you see the classic pulling puppy or dog! The rope leads are used by country folk as they are easier to use and are more effective. Use it high up on the dogs head just behind the ears. You may need to adjust frequently to keep the lead high but this will allow you to keep control even over a powerful dog. Other leads and collars are available by CLICKING HERE

The Toy

Your dog on a walk will always look for fun and interesting things to do. If it doesnt find it from you then it will go elsewhere to be entertained and this leads to roaming issues and poor recall. By using the ball on a rope you can play tug of war to rules of course. You can throw long distances so tiring the dog faster and you can improve your recall by bringing it out at random intervals and encouraging the dog to run back to you! Its also a lifesaver if the dog is heading towards a bad event and you can instantly redirect! If you prefer other toys that is not an issue as long as you use one and a full selection can be found by CLICKING HERE
